Eccentricity!

These are the eccentric rods and straps which drive the water pump (the short one) and the valves (the long ones), on City of Truro. They are silver soldered together for strength.

The Plan

From the "steamup" area on the left we can run round the loop a few times, then back to the terminal on a parallel track. From there the engine can run round the reversing triangle and back on to the carriages. I'm using 225mm wide cable tray supported on 125 by 47mm treated timber posts.
